a lifelong passion
Christina McKitrick is an upper level Event rider and "A" Pony Club graduate. Currently she holds the position of Horse Management Officer on the board for Virginia Region Pony Club.
For more than 5 years, Christie ran a successful training program in Bluemont, Virginia, teaching both horses and riders how to compete safely and successfully in lower level Eventing. In 2020 she pivoted to a corporate career, but her love of witnessing the development of horse and rider partnerships brought her back to to the horse world for her current focus: teaching horse management [link to HM page]
RIDING career
After competing at the FEI 2* levels through high school and college, Christie backed, trained and sold multiple young event horses from first backing to the Preliminary/2* level. In this process, Christie discovered her talent for producing reliable and well-schooled horses for both eventing and foxhunting.
Grecian Pharaoh, “Guppy,” an off-the-track Thoroughbred, is Christie’s current project. His enthusiastic athleticism shows great promise!
